Libraries are full of books.

The Muskingum County Library System has talent, too.

Creativity. Knowledge. It's time for us to share it.

It really does take a village to raise a child, and to make a reader.

Zanesville City Schools

Over 700 students.
More than 45 teachers.
73% of students reading at grade level.

The Zanesville City School District is currently implementing the Literacy Collaborative framework throughout all of its individual schools. A strong working relationship with agencies and individuals in the community around the school is one of the things that makes a Literacy Collaborative successful.

Generous funding from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation has allowed us to implement these projects:

Limitless LibrariesBattle of the BooksEZ Readers

Students and teachers need more support than we already give them.

Bringing together the resources of the library and the professional knowledge of our community's teachers, we aim to develop an extensive collection of teaching materials that can be shared all throughout the world. Here you will find links to lesson plans, booklists, videos, tutorials, and so much more.

Sharing the stories of successful teachers and classrooms is another goal of the Literacy Nexus. We want to highlight the work that you are doing in our frequent Success Stories feature.

Teacher Collections

Finding a good book to use in your classroom is difficult enough - let us take some of the legwork out of the equation and deliver them to you, too!

Limitless Libraries

There are enough obstacles that get in the way of visiting the library to find your next great read - we're not going to let overdue fines or transportation keep students away, too!
